The Chinatown Soccer Club first came together after Adidas invited a number of downtown Manhattan stores, crews and personalities to take part in a soccer tournament entitled Fanatic to coincide with the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan.

Twelve handpicked teams including Alife, Supreme, Rockstar Games, Psyop, Opening Ceremony, Tokion and The Fader eventually battled for soccer supremacy atop an Astroturf-covered parking garage and as the day heated up, throngs of fans kicked back to enjoy free beer, barbecue and beats high above the Hudson River.

The tournament has since become a cherished summertime tradition and the CSC returns every year, donning a custom jersey, to participate in an event that truly encapsulates the positive spirit that helped give birth to the club.
